St Mary's Church Lydiard Tregoze

Get Involved

Whether you’re interested in our worship activities or heritage and conservation project, there are plenty of ways to get involved with St Mary’s.

Volunteering

Without the enthusiasm and effort of our volunteers, St Mary’s could not continue as a living church or share its rich heritage with the wider public. Our volunteers help with all aspects of church life and the conservation project. Whatever your age, beliefs or background, we would love you to join our friendly volunteer community.

Building our New Volunteer Team

Our core of dedicated volunteers, including members of the congregation and Swindon & Kennet Art Society is set to expand. In order to preserve St. Mary’s rich heritage and realise its educational potential, we are launching an exciting new range of volunteering activities as part of the current National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

St. Mary’s already attracts around 8,000 visitors each year and we would love to open the church more regularly so that more people can discover its unique history and special atmosphere. If you would like to make someone’s visit to St Mary’s more enjoyable and memorable, we would love to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity to get to know one of the loveliest small churches in England, learn new skills and be part of a diverse and friendly team.
