An important part of the life of St. Mary's lies in our small groups, which meet
in the homes of several of our church members. In these small fellowship groups we
can share together our joys and sorrows, needs and blessings.
Each of these groups has as its core purpose the study of the Bible, with application
to daily life. Different groups pursue their own programmes as seems most relevant
to their members.
The weekly meetings usually last 1 - 2 hours, and also include sharing, prayer and
informal enjoyment of each other's company.
Anyone is welcome to attend and will be warmly received!
One of our home groups likes the York Courses (CD audio commentary on Bible topics,
followed by group discussion)
Another group prefers DVD video-based courses, such as those presented by US pastor
John Ortberg, and the Nooma presentations by pastor Rob Bell.
