School visits
During December and January, we have had six delightful classes from Lydiard Park Academy (around 200 students) into St Mary’s as part of their RE curriculum. I asked them to write a short evaluation / reflection on what they found interesting about the church.
These are displayed on the children’s noticeboard in the Art Pew – please take time to read a selection of their comments.
They include –
The eagle symbolises spreading God’s word
I liked the glass windows. I learned more about Christianity
I liked the stained windows and how they tell a story
I have learned all stained-glass windows have meanings
